ProVI Undertakes Repositioning
In 2018, the development and marketing of the ProVI software was spun off into a standalone company: ProVI GmbH. This means that, as of now, ProVI GmbH will be responsible for developing and maintaining the traffic and infrastructure design software system that was in the hands of OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH for the past more than thirty years. This move is designed to ensure that ProVI can respond more flexibly to the increasingly stringent requirements of digitalization and project business and so address the needs and wishes of its clients even more effectively.
The company’s mission remains to develop the technologically most advanced tool for traffic and infrastructure planning and so stay true to its motto of “By engineers, for engineers.” In addition to the further development of the software, ProVI is committed to ensuring excellence in service and support.
Christian Frank has been managing the ProVI team since December 2018. Mr. Frank has enjoyed a highly successful career in the CAD software industry. As regards the future of ProVI, he has set the course for growth: “ProVI harbors huge potential to conquer the German-speaking market and expand its market share. What could be better than working in a highly skilled and motivated team with a view to making everyday design activities for the users of our software as easy and pleasant as possible?”
ProVI is also seeking new employees in almost all its different areas: support, sales and development. ProVI is primed for growth and looking to significantly expand its workforce so that it can meet future market requirements and customer demand for services with the same high level of quality that it always has done. To support this mission, the company is looking to further expand its range of services and increase availability for its clients.
In the summer of this year, the new program version of the software will be launched – of course, with the focus of development firmly on BIM. This means that ProVI will once again be proving that its program system is among the leading software tools for the civil engineering industry. After all, it was almost 25 years ago that ProVI – together with other international engineering firms and software developers – became a founding member of buildingSMART e.V. (then known as IAI e.V.), the originator of the BIM concept.
And ProVI has relaunched itself in not one, but two ways: with a new logo and new address.
