Without data loss from routing to control command and signalling planning. ProVI makes it possible. With ProVI LST, we are adding a new module for control command and signalling technology to our BIM solution for planning transport infrastructures. The software, which was developed in a cooperation with DB Engineering & Consulting, will be launched on September 21, 2022, and will be additionally available for the first time from program version ProVI 7.0.
ProVI LST is an add-on for the products ProVI Rail as well as ProVI Rail LT and integrates the control and safety technology into the overall planning context. The planner can define and edit all objects required for control command and signalling planning using the editor tool in ProVI LST. In addition, the software enables the generation of the required output – both tabular work and site and overview plans for conventional planning and the PlanPro XML file required for digital planning.
Thanks to the new ProVI LST, traffic facility and control command and signalling planners can work in the same database. This automatically transfers all changes, minimizes errors and reduces costs. Matthias Frei, Principal Software Engineer at ProVI, adds, “In LST planning, the exception is often the rule. There is rarely the one uniform way. Nevertheless, ProVI LST offers automatisms where it can, and that makes planning significantly faster.” The automatic planning support is a unique selling point of the module on the market.
As part of a development cooperation with DB Engineering & Consulting (DB E&C), the engineering and consulting company of Deutsche Bahn, ProVI worked for nearly two years to develop the software. “Our development was user-driven from the start, so it was very quickly apparent that it was going in the right direction,” says Matthias Frei. Just a year and a half after the project started, DB E&C is now already handling several projects with the new tool.
Visit us at InnoTrans from September 20 to 23, 2022 in Berlin and experience ProVI LST live. Product presentations will take place daily at 11 am and 2 pm at the ProVI booth (Hall 5.2, Booth 135).
